L'insegnamento rientra tra le attività formative del curriculum in Data Analytics for Business and Society. L'obiettivo del corso è di fornire una comprensione di come le tecnologie digitali incidano sui business models delle aziende.

Il corso fornisce gli strumenti analitici per comprendere dare un giudizio su business models di aziende esistenti nonché quello di identificare vantaggi e svantaggi di alcune scelte strategiche.
1. Knowledge and understanding
- Ability to read a business model
- Ability to understand a text referring to aspects of corporate technology
- Knowledge of the typical tools of data- and digit-driven companies

2. Ability to apply knowledge and understanding
- Ability to analyze existing business models
- Ability to propose innovations to the business model
- Ability to write a basic business model

3. Ability to determine autonomous judgments
- Ability to discuss advantages and disadvantages of choices
- Ability to understand when the conditions for the functioning of a certain model are not there

4. Communication skills
- Ability to accurately explain a digital-first business model

5. Learning skills
- Ability to choose correct texts and sources to deepen specific knowledge
Course participants are required to have a knowledge of basic mathematics, a knowledge of basic computer science and to know the traditional business model canvas.

The exam is exclusively oral and will consist of a short presentation and discussion of the analysis of the business model of a company of your choice.
The course is mainly organized in lectures. All the material shown during classes will be made available to the students through the Moodle platform.
During the course, invited lectures will be held by managers of companies that have gone through a digital transformation.
Additional readings and materials will be available to attending students on the course Moodle page.
