This course is one of the courses that characterize the degree in Business Economics, and is aimed at providing students an overview on the firm and the key issues related to its management. After an introduction on the methodological foundations and the context of modern firms, the course focuses on the analysis of the environment in which the firm operates, on the analysis of the firm’s competitive advantage, and on the firm’s business and corporate strategies.
After completing the course, students will understand which are the main business functions, which are the main characteristics of a firm’s environment, and what strategies the firm can implement to grow within this environment.
