The second module of the teaching of "advanced economics of art and culture and taxation of cultural markets" integrates the general objectives of the course of study in economics and management of cultural activities by examining a first level of investigation that leads to visualize the dimension of culture understood in the defined interpretative theoretical models (micro) to then provide a second level of in-depth analysis with respect to the processes triggered by cultural phenomena in the territory (macro). Starting from the characteristics of generating economic value, and then addressing the main problems with respect to the economic production process, we will proceed to verify the conditions for measuring the results. Subsequently, the connections between the cultural dimension and the other capital formulas of a territory will be deepened in order to identify strategic complementarities, and then provide models for the definition of local development processes with a cultural matrix. Through a final applicative laboratory, the participants will be engaged in a process of building a cultural activity and its insertion into the territory with a view to economic development.
By following the lessons and through the final workshop, participants will be able to:
- Learn the breakdown and classification of cultural activities and assets;
- Check the main value generation mechanisms;
- Identify the constraints on public participation;
- Analyze measurement tools;
- Acquire knowledge of the strategic complementarities between culture and the various capital formulas of a territory;
