This course belongs to the teaching of Mediazione Linguistica e Culturale in this University and the main objective of this course is to start the students’ development of the skills required for liaison interpreting, taking place between two or more people speaking two different languages (Italian and Spanish) not necessarely using audio tools.
Students will also learn the techniques of public speaking in order to be able to manage any communication situation.
Furthermore students will be also skilled in terms of using specific techniques and of problem solving in case of trouble.

This course is adressed to students approaching interpreting for the first time, they're however required, even for the first year, to have an excellent knowledge of both languages.
- Preparatory exercises aiming at developing a number of skills, including listening, understanding, memorizing, speaking in both languages (e.g., summaries, key-word exercises, sight translation, etc.);
- Liaison interpreting exercises and simulations on a number of different topics (culture, tourist sector, business, trade fairs) with material and glossaries prepared by the students:
- Theory of Interpreting.

Alumns' improvements are checked all the year long by practical exercises
Lessons will be based on interaction with students; they will be required to put into practice the theory explained by the teacher and improve their interpreting skills by means of personal study and exercise.
