The course aims at helping students to develop their ability to understand and produce texts in Modern Standard Arabic.
Lectures focus on both sintax and vocabulary.
Proposed materials concern Arab visions of Europe and South-North migration across the Mediterranean.
Students will be able to:
- understand and produce texts in Modern Standard Arabic.
Arabic Language proficiency corresponding to B1 level of the CEFR.
Arab visions of Europe; South-North migration across the Mediterranean.
Materials provided by the teacher.
Oral exam. Students will be asked to: read and vocalise Arabic texts and provide rough translations thereof; comment materials analysed during the course.
Lectures. Textual approach.
Teaching language: English (for grammar explanations and translations).
Attendance is compulsory.
