The course enables students to acquire knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of educational technologies in relation to general education and specifically in relation to the teaching of modern languages. The aim of the course is to develop knowledge of the basic principles of learning theories, didactic models and technologies (formal and informal). The relationship of technologies to developmental stages, culture, gender and disability will be highlighted. The course proposes the application of these principles through the educational game, both analogue and digital, as a transversal field of educational application for the learning and teaching of modern languages.
Knowledge and understanding: demonstrate basic knowledge of educational technologies; learning theories, educational models and technologies; relationships of technologies to developmental stages, culture, gender and disability through educational applications of games, analogue and digital.

Ability to apply knowledge and understanding: demonstrate the ability to identify, distinguish and identify the different theories, approaches and models underlying educational projects involving the use of technology, through examples presented during the course.

Autonomy of judgement: demonstration of critical processing skills on the basis of learning processes implemented with/through environments/methods/digital/technological tools.

Communicative skills: demonstrate mastery of a basic vocabulary of the discipline in order to communicate clearly and unambiguously with the main actors in the school environment (teachers, pupils, parents, school management, school counsellors, etc.).

The assessment criteria for the short answer questions on theory and reasoning will be as follows (a) accuracy of theoretical information; (b) appropriate use of the discipline's own language; (c) validity of reasoning; (d) ability to communicate and explain effectively.
The opportunity to take a test before the end of the course is offered to students who attend classes regularly.
