The second part of this course focuses on the key concepts of corporate finance. We will discuss the principles that guide risk valuations, the cost of capital, firm valuation, capital structure decisions, dividend policies and ESG considerations within the new legal framework brought forward in Italy and the EU.
After the conclusion of this course, the student should be able to conduct and comprehend the dynamics underlying risk valuations and how those are incorporated in the cost of capital, firm valuation, capital structure decisions, dividend policy choices and ESG intergrations. Furthermore, they should be in possession of the tools needed to follow through relative valuation processes and analyze schemes adopted by firms.
Basic knowledge of business administration and accounting will enhance the student's understanding and help better keep up with lectures.

The course will wrap with a written exam on which the student's overall valuation will be based. The written exam will include both multiple choice and open-end questions, which can be of a theoretical and/or quantitative (exercises) nature.
