The students shall be able to comprehend the institutional framework of the EU system, with a specific sensitivity to the legal perspective. Law play and has always played a crucial role in the past and present evolution of the EU institutions, leading the original Economic Communities to what we now call the Union. The path turns out to be not so simple in recent times, and the student will understand some of the main reasons of the perplexities spinning around the very idea of maintaining the EU as is.
