The situation that the Planet is now facing requires for a new sustainability paradigm, from the classic view of three spheres (economic, social and environmental), to a integrated perspective. All this calls for the shifts towards new conceptual models and a strong interdisciplinarity. The latter will be key issue of the class, that will try to demonstrate how only collecting concepts from quite different disciplines it would be possible to cope with the present global crisis.
The aim of the class is to give the tools for understanding what are the key-elements when facing with unsustainability issues, offering new cognitive approaches for finding innovative solutions. Moreover, it will be offered the opportunity to confront with Ca’ Foscari researchers, with different cultural backgrounds, directly involved in research activities related with sustainability issues.
