The Historical Writing Lab is addressed to undergraduate students (corso di laurea in [FT5] STORIA), in particular students in their 2nd and 3rd year. The lab aims to introduce students to the practices of historical writing in oder to prepare short argumentative texts, essays, B.A. dissertation.

Enrollment is expected (max. 20 students): please write to elena.bacchin@unive.it.
Students are expected to:
- acquire a sensibility to different forms of historical writing;
- analyse and write a book review.
- write a reportage or an account of an observation.
- prepare a bibliography.
- conceive and write an essay, the chapter of a dissertation.
An active participation to proposed activities is required.
Very good knowledge of Italian.
The lab will investigate the core elements and different forms of historical writing, focusing in particular on book reviews and essays. Exercises will address the composition and writings of: source analyses, reports, book reviews, and dissertations (focusing on contents, bibliography and the structure of chapters).
