International business law is a fundamental subject for training professionals who are expected to master a mix of linguistic, economic and managerial know-how. The aim of this course is to provide students with a basic information about the most significant and critical aspects of international business contracts through a general introduction, the analysis of some of the most frequently used clauses that appear in cross-border contracts.
Students attending the course will learn some fundamental elements of international business contract law and practice. In particular, they may learn the terminology and logic that are necessary to read and understand simple legal texts concerning private relations
No prerequisite is required for the course
The first part of the course will focus on the legal sources of international contracts, and their negotiation and drafting processes. The second part will consist in a critical reading of some contractual templates and some class works
