The teaching of Portuguese and Brazilian 1 languages is common to all courses of the degree course in Languages, Civilization and Language Sciences.
The course consists of a module (semester) held by Prof. Vanessa Castagna in the second semester and annual language exercises (first and second semester) held by mother tongue experts.
For the exercises of Portuguese and Brazilian 1, E1 - B the European variant of the language is taught.
The student must reach level B1 of the CEFR, mastering the grammatical, phonetic-graphic, lexical, textual and communicative contents of the Portuguese language in the European variant.
None specifically for the Portuguese language. Familiarity with grammatical and metalinguistic terminology is required.
Exercises: oral and written.
Grammatical, phonetic-graphic, lexical, textual and communicative contents of the Portuguese language - European variant (up to level B1 of the CEFR).
Reading, analysis and summary of short stories during the second semester.
Student Handbook:
- PORTUGUÊS XXI - 1, Livro do Aluno, di Ana Tavares. Edições LIDEL, Lisboa.
Grammar:
- GRAMMATICA D'USO della lingua portoghese A1 - A2, Teoria ed esercizi, di Patrícia Ferreira. HOEPLI, Milano.
The verification of the expected learning outcomes takes place through a structured exam, consisting of a written test and an oral test.
The written test, aimed at verifying the achievement of linguistic competence (level B1 of the CEFR), consists of two parts, the average of whose results gives an evaluation out of thirty:
1) dictation of about 10 lines (30 points)
2) grammar test (26 points) and a short composition (4 points). Duration: 90 minutes.
The oral exam consists of two parts: the first, with the reader, aimed at verifying the achievement of oral communicative competence (level B1 of the CEFR), consists of a conversational interaction in language on a selection of short narrative texts by contemporary authors (duration: about 15 minutes); the second is aimed at verifying the achievement of metalinguistic competence on the contents of the teacher module and is held in the language or in Italian, chosen by the student (duration: 15-20 minutes).
The two parts of the oral exam are assessed globally, resulting in an evaluation out of thirty that will average with the grade obtained in the written test, thus determining the overall grade of the exam.
The written test is preparatory to the oral test, which must be taken in a single session and within the same exam session in which the written test was passed.
