During the course, on the basis of students' linguistic and cultural background, I intend to develop their mnemonic, general and critical analysis skills, explication of content in the target language under conditions of immediacy.

Particular attention is paid to problem-solving situations and technicalities that should arise during a conversation involving the usual fields of work, namely, business management, general legal matters, commerce, marketing, advertising, media, tourism, scientific-biological and medical subjects, reception and management of emergency situations.

Attention will also be given to all aspects of relational management of a situation where multiple languages and cultural backgrounds are involved.

Lastly, an introduction to speech composition, texts, slides and ancillary material to everything related to an oral/written/visual exchange in a work context.

Enable students to handle a two- or multi-person interaction by understanding and orally translating its contents as well as being able to prepare material necessary for conducting an exchange between different cultural contexts.
Interest, curiosity, openness to what is new and unexpected as well as a solid humanistic and practical background. Specific interests and of course good knowledge of both languages welcome.
Anything that could potentially create interaction and, therefore, need to be transposed and interpreted into a target language.
Any specific text on interpreting, translation, human relations management, sociology, philosophy, literature, marketing financial sciences and law may be of interest to students
Oral examination between lecturer and student on one of the topics covered in the course and assessment of ability to translate an idea into a culturally different context
Comparative study and analysis as well as simulations and reconsideration of the topics covered based on different cultural and anthropological considerations
