This course is one of the basic courses in the Master’s degree in Management, and more specifically in Innovation and Marketing and is aimed at offering students a critical perspective to the study of innovation and design issues. In the second part, the course will focus on subjects connected with the CCIs as a field of investigation and theoretical discussion to re-frame radical and disruptive innovation. Through the analysis of stories and practices of designers, creatives and artists, the second module will offer reflections and practical tools to boost creativity and innovation in the organisation.
After completing the second module, students will have the following competences:
- understanding the topic of innovation through the adoption of the perspectives of technology, market, and design
- structured knowledge of the complex nature of managerial issues connected with the topic of innovation in different organisational contexts
- team working competencies through the adoption of a number od design thinking tools (experienced in presence)
- team working competences in on line settings
No pre-requisites are required even though the course is meant to come after Design and innovation management I

Attending students:
for the A.Y. 2022/2023 attending students will have:
- written exam, with open-ended questions
- students will be given the opportunity to integrate the grade of the final exam with group-works.
Throughout the course (blended) two intermediate tests will be given to students. These will be used as self-assessment tests and contribute to the finale evaluation

Non attending students:
- written exam, with open-ended questions.

There will be a single exam at the end of this module


The course will be in presence and it will include: i lectures centred on theoretical issues, discussion of case studies, seminars from business representatives, experimentations, design thinking practices.
