The teaching is one of the characterizing training activities of the Degree Course in Society and Social Service Sciences and aims to provide students with the knowledge and methods about evaluation, social planning, groupwork and community social work. The evaluation and decision process will be analyzed in depth during the first part of the course; the second part will be dedicated to the groupwork and the third part will be focussed on the theoretical knowledge and methods of social planning and community social work.
At the end of the course, the students will be able to recognize the main theoretical approach to evaluation, group work, social planning and community work. They will be able to make connection between theoretical knowledge and practice and to develop a critical and reflective thought.
It is advised to have sustained the exam of Methodologies of Social Work 1 but it is not a mandatory prerequisite

Written exam: six multiple choice questions and three open questions focused on the contents of the course. Every correct answer to multiple choice questions = 1,5 point; every answer to the open questions will be evaluated up to 7 points. The knowledge about the main contents of the course, the correctness and the completeness of the answers as well as the ability to summarize will be appreciated. The final mark will sum the score obtained in all the answers. The achievement of the objectives of the Laboratory will be evaluated up to 5 points (if the students have to gain at minimum a 18/30 mark)
The final mark of Methods of Social Service will be the arithmetic average of the final mark of Methods of Social Service 1 and Methods of Social Service 2.
