This course is part of the Minor Scrittura e comunicazione, which also includes Avviamento alla scrittura and La scrittura 'creativa'. These three courses must be chosen together and cannot be separated.
The objective of the module is to convey to students the basic techniques to write different types of texts typical of the world of communication and marketing, advertising, and journalism, testing the notions learned through practical exercises.
- Know how to deal with different types of texts that are not typically narrative
- Understand the theoretical elements underlying these texts
- Learn the writing techniques used in them
- Improve one's writing style and adapt it to such texts
- Begin structuring and crafting them
The only prerequisites required are a good command of written Italian and an interest in writing and the world of Communication.
Why does a (non-classically narrative) text work? What is the structure of a slogan or an argumentative text? What does a script look like, and what elements must be mastered to produce a 'rational', a brand manifesto, a review, or the content of an advertising communication?

Taking inspiration from and borrowing notions typical of storytelling, we will analyzed different types of texts peculiar to various areas of communication. Most importantly, the students will write such texts, which will be commented and evaluated during the course.
