The course is suggested to first-year students keen to review basic math principles before starting the course MATHEMATICS FOR DECISION SCIENCES 1 of the Bachelor's Degree Programme in Digital Management. In particular, the course is strongly suggested for students with mandatory additional credits (OFA).
This prep course offers the opportunity to brush up on the knowledge of some math basics, often taken for granted and not revised at the university level, to allow students to start university studies with tranquillity and competence. Specifically, the module aims at reviewing basic math skills, acquired during the first 3-4 years of high school, to prepare students for the mathematics classes in the winter term.
Knowledge and understanding
- Properties of numbers (natural, integer, rational, real) and operations;
- Principles for solving polynomial, exponential, logarithmic equations and inequalities;
- Properties of elementary functions

Applying knowledge
- Handling of expressions with power elevation, exponential, and logarithm functions;
- Solving polynomial, exponential, logarithmic equations and inequalities
- Graphing functions
