The course contributes to the learning objectives of the Bachelor degree, which provides a learning in both the business and quantitative context, by preparing students able to interpret and analyse financial statements.
1 KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
The students of the Bachelor degree have to know and understand the main critical areas when managing firms. At the end of this teaching course, the students will be able:
- to analyze and compare financial statements of firms operating in multiple sectors and of different dimension;
- to interpret the differences of their financial performance.

2 ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
The students of the Bachelor degree have to apply their knowledge in real contexts through the analysis of accounting data and to examine the managerial problems of firms. At the end of this teaching course, the students will be able:
- to compare the financial statements of firms with the application of financial statements analysis tools;
- to give an evaluation on their financial performance.

The evaluation of the course will be split into two parts.
First, a written exam will be used to test the understanding of some theoretical concepts.
Second, an assignment will be required to check on the ability of the student to practically apply the knowledge acquired during the course.
The teaching method will be adapted according to the development of the ongoing Coronavirus crisis
