The course aims at:

1. Preparing students to make short seminar-type presentations.
2. Supporting students in the process of translation.
3. Stimulating research into specialist texts from Chinese sources.
At the end of the course the student will be able to:

1. Express thoughts and ideas in Chinese with technological support.
2. Hold a short debate in Chinese language
Students must have at least a CEFR B1 level.
Seminar lessons with active participation by students on different economic and political topics relating to modern China and its role in a global context with translation, questions and discussions in class. Attending students will be asked to complete assignments. The presentation of assignments will contribute to the final grade in addition to a translation of a text.

The final grade will be obtained by the evaluation of the presentation and the degree of participation in the debates. Students will be asked to prepare a research and to translate a text from Chinese into Italian.
