The course "Korean Language 1 Mod 2" [LM004J] is one of the core educational components within the master's degree program in "Languages and Civilizations of Asia and the Mediterranean Africa." Its primary objective is to enhance students' proficiency in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing Korean at an advanced level.

By the end of the course, students will be able to read and analyze complex texts and effectively engage in various communicative contexts. The course includes an in-depth exploration of advanced Korean grammatical structures, conducted in coordination with language practice sessions led in parallel by language experts (CEL).
t the end of the module, students will have acquired advanced Korean language skills, enabling them to independently approach the final module of their master’s program.
In terms of language proficiency, students typically enter the course at an early TOPIK level 5, while by the end they are expected to reach a solid TOPIK level 5+/6.
According to the parameters of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), students’ proficiency will progress from an initial C1 level to an early C2 level by the end of the course.
Specifically, the acquired competencies will include:

1. Knowledge and Understanding

• Actively apply acquired grammar, vocabulary, and expressions in real-life situations.
