Contribution of the course to the overall degree programme goals
The teacher's module (30 hours) takes place in the first semester of the second academic year (2 lessons in the first period, one lesson in the second period). The language course (A2-B1) is annual (30 hours in the first semester, 20 hours in the second one).
Expected learning outcomes
Grammatical, lexical, pragmatic, discursive contents at B1 Level of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).
Lexical, morphosyntactic, pragmatic, discursive contents of the Spanish language for tourism purposes.
2. Applying knowledge and understanding
Be able to pronounce properly; be able to write correctly, be able to interact politely with tourists.
3. Making judgments
Ability to gather the relevant data to make judgments about the discursivity and the adequacy of the translated text.
4. Communication skills
Be able to read correctly; be able to interact properly and politely with tourists; be able to produce written and oral tests appropriate to the discourse genre and to the communicative situation; be able to translate specialistic tests from Spanish to Italian language and vice versa.
5. Learning skills
Capacity for analysis and synthesis; for self-assessment.

Assessment methods
The written test (60'), which will be held before the oral presentation, aims at verifying the achievement of a B1 level linguistic competence and consists of a grammar test (gap-filling). The use of the dictionary is not permitted.
The oral presentation (max. 12 slides) can be carried out in a group (2-3 students) or individually. The group presentation will last 20 minutes whereas the individual presentation 10 minutes.
In order to participate in the exam, you must register for the appeal (Esse3).
The written test and the oral test will take place on the same day. If the number of students is too high, the oral exam will take place at a later date.

Grading scale
A. scores in the 18-22 range will be awarded in the presence of:
- sufficient knowledge and understanding skills applied with reference to the course program;
- limited ability to collect and/or interpret data, formulating independent judgments;
- sufficient communication skills, especially in relation to the use of the specific language that pertains to the economic functioning of tourist services.
B. scores in the 23-26 range will be awarded in the presence of:
- fair knowledge and understanding applied to the course program;
- fair ability to collect and/or interpret data, formulating independent judgments;
- fair communication skills, especially in relation to the use of the specific language relating to the economic functioning of tourist services;
C. scores in the 27-30 range will be awarded in the presence of:
- good or excellent knowledge and applied understanding skills with reference to the course program;
- good or excellent ability to collect and/or interpret data, formulating independent judgments;
- fully appropriate communication skills, especially in relation to the use of the specific language that pertains to the economic functioning of tourist services.
D. honors will be awarded in the presence of knowledge and understanding applied with reference to the course program, excellent judgment and communication skills
