The course is one of the elective activities of the study program. Its objective is to provide students with the basic knowledge about financial markets and financial instruments. A focus is devoted to financial instruments for SMEs and green and digital bonds.
Knowledge and understanding:
1) Knowledge and understanding of the operation of financial markets;
2) Knowledge and understanding of the technical and economic characteristics of financial instruments (debt securities and equity).
Applying knowledge and understanding:
1) Ability to use the knowledge to read documents and online information about regulated financial markets;
2) Ability to apply the information about financial instruments in order to assess their yield and risk.
Making Judgments:
1) Ability to select the financial instruments more consistent with financing objectives of SMEs.
Prerequisite: Business Administration.
Students are required to know the fundamentals of Private Law and Corporate Finance.

Exam on Moodle, 15 multiple choices questions (24 points) and one open end question (seven points), 25 minutes time.
To take the exam, it is necessary to:
1. have a PC/tablet;
2. present an identification document with a photo.

The instructor is responsible for ensuring the authenticity and originality of all examinations and coursework. In cases of suspected academic misconduct, an additional on-site assessment may be required during the exams, which may differ from the standard format.

The evaluation grid is structured to ensure a fair and transparent assessment of students' skills. Each multiple choices question is worth 1.6 points, for a maximum total of 24 points; incorrect answers do not incur penalties.
The grid for the exam is structured as follows:
0-17 points: Insufficient – The student demonstrates a limited understanding of the topics covered and is unable to apply knowledge effectively.
18-22 points: Sufficient – The student has a basic understanding of the topics and can correctly answer simple questions, but shows gaps in more in-depth knowledge.
23-26 points: Good – The student demonstrates a good understanding of the topics and can correctly answer medium-difficulty questions.
27-30 points: Excellent – The student has a solid understanding of the topics and correctly answers almost all questions, showing analytical skills and application of knowledge.
31 points: Outstanding – The student demonstrates a complete understanding of the topics, correctly answering all questions and showing high critical and analytical skills. In this case, honors are awarded.
