The course Language and Translation 2 Module 2 falls among the characterizing teachings of the Bachelor of Arts in Language and Cultural Mediation. The general objective of the teaching is to describe the characterizing properties of the Spanish sectorial language with a focus on six specialized areas: academic and scientific discourse; discourse in advertising and media; economic discourse; legal-administrative discourse; political discourse; and tourist discourse.
During the course, linguistic properties (syntactic and lexical, textual and discursive), sociolinguistic and pragmatic contexts and characteristic discursive genres will be highlighted for each of the sectorial languages. Their relationship to general Spanish will also be observed.
