TI course aims to offer in-depth training in the issues related to the rights of adults in a situation of vulnerability and the various support tools that the legal system provides for them. The objective is to familiarize the graduate in social sciences and social service with these tools so that he or she will know how to operate correctly in the different areas of possible use having matured a sensitivity that will enable him or her to deal with and give support with awareness and expertise in the different situations in which he or she may come to relate to the most fragile individuals.
Knowledge , understanding and implementation
1 To know the multi-level regulatory system governing the condition of vulnerable adults .
2 To know the individual instruments of support and protection of these individuals in the domestic system.
3 To understand the role that these institutions play in dealing with the various issues facing vulnerable adults in order to assist them in the pursuit of the best personal solution.
General knowledge of the national legal system, with notions of public and private law. It is highly recommended to take the private law course first
Examination of relevant international legislation: Hague Convention of January 13, 2000 on the International Protection of Adults; United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD); European Parliament Resolution of June 1, 2017 on the Protection of Vulnerable Adults-Analysis of protection institutions currently in force and prospects for reform. Interdiction, incapacitation and support administration. Other supportive figures: the trustee and caregiver - Insight into informed consent in therapeutic settings, with special attention to the right of the frail patient to free choice - Hints on the most recent reforms in the field of disability and care for the dependent elderly

The verification will consist of a written test on the whole programme.

During the course, it will be possible to organize group work to be evaluated.

With regard to grade grading (the manner in which grades will be assigned): Scores in the 18-22 range will be awarded in the presence of: - sufficient knowledge and applied comprehension skills with reference to the syllabus; - limited ability to collect and/or interpret data, making independent judgments; - sufficient communication skills, especially in relation to the use of specific language pertaining to the economic operation of public services; Scores in the 23-26 range will be awarded in the presence of:
- fair knowledge and ability to understand applied with reference to the program; - fair ability to collect and/or interpret data, making independent judgments; - fair communication skills, especially in relation to the use of specific language pertaining to the economic operation of public services; Scores in the 27-30 range will be awarded in the presence of:
- good or excellent knowledge and applied understanding with reference to the syllabus; - good or excellent ability to collect and/or interpret data, making independent judgments; - fully appropriate communication skills, especially in relation to the use of specific language pertaining to the economic operation of public services.

The course follows a conventional teaching approach combined with student interaction activities on the model of flipped teaching and case studies. Seminar and study meetings with subject matter experts will be scheduled
