Contents
The lecture course
The lecture course (30 hours) focuses on the linguistic analysis of specialised English-language texts and their translation into Italian. The skills acquired will be put into practice through simulations of various professional communication contexts.
The course also looks at the English phonetic system, in preparation for the oral exam. The course program and examination procedures will be the same for both attending and non-attending students.
The lettorati
The 'Reading' lettorati(15 hours) include the reading, oral presentation and discussion of academic texts relating to cultural heritage and arts management.
The 'Writing' lettorati(15 hours) focus on aspects of general grammar, punctuation and the production of academic texts (descriptive, chronological) or of texts which are useful for studying abroad (CV, formal letters, emails, etc.).
For information on the content of the ‘Reading’ and ‘Writing’ lettorati and to attend the exercises within the limits of available places, students must contact the teaching assistants Nicholas Jones (nicholas.jones@unive.it) and Ewan Glenton.
