The course explores the application of process management principles and methodologies to the specific context of cultural heritage management. Key processes related to the identification, conservation, management, use and communication of heritage will be critically analysed, with a focus on the organisational and managerial dimensions of the processes and on the strategic objectives of improving efficiency and innovation in their management.
At the end of the course, students will be able to:
o Understand the organizational and managerial nature of decisions relating to cultural heritage management in line with a process-based approach
o Understand different theories and models of process management applied to the complex sector of cultural heritage.
o Design and implement methodologies for mapping, analyzing, evaluating, and monitoring processes in different types of cultural institutions.
o Develop and present project proposals for process innovation in real-world cultural heritage management contexts.
There are no prerequisites. The course is dedicated to the degree program.
