This course is part of the core curriculum of the Economics – Data Analytics for Business and Society degree program, which prepares students to analyze human behavior in organizational contexts.
The course aims to provide knowledge and real-world insights on the following topics:

The educational objective of the course is to provide knowledge relating to:
1 - business processes that characterize people management throughout the entire employee life cycle
2 - activities of the HR department and the integration with other company functions
3 – impact of digital transformation on HR processes and how data supports decision making
4 - how data analysis can be used to understand and influence people’s behavior in organizations
5 - the war for talent: employer branding and HR marketing.
1. Knowledge and Understanding
1.1. Acquire knowledge of the main HR processes.
1.2. Acquire knowledge of the main measurement metrics within each HR process.
1.3. Acquire knowledge of tools and frameworks for analyzing behaviors.

2. Applying Knowledge and Understanding
2.1. Be able to design the various KPIs that measure work in organizations.
2.2. Be able to identify the most suitable data sources for building KPIs.
2.3. Be able to analyze behaviors and deviations from objectives.

3. Making Judgements
3.1. Be able to select the most appropriate indicators to support decision-making in the HR domain.
3.2. Learn to assess and predict collective behaviors in complex contexts.
General knowledge of the main functions of business organizations through the fundamental courses of the bachelor’s degree in economics.
Having achieved the educational objectives of ENGLISH FOR ECONOMICS AND BUSINESS 1 [ET3006] even without having passed the exam.

The study path is laboratory-based and includes many exercises during the course.
Students not attending the course must contact the teacher at least 3 months before the exam date to receive the materials for the exercises.
The course includes an assessment based on three qualitative–quantitative assignments, to be completed and submitted individually by each student.
