PUBLIC LAW

The course is among the basic ones of the degree course of Commercio estero.
The propose of the course is to give to students knowledge of fundamental legal principles of "diritto pubblico" and understand their function as regulation instruments of social economical environment. A deep knowledge of sources government instruments, as well as the knowledge of constitutional organs institutional roles, will be fundamental to this goal. Further more it's required a proper technical juridical language and the capability to well understand the human juridical relations within the institutional and normative referring system.

The propose of the course is to give to students knowledge of fundamental legal principles of "diritto pubblico", encouraging the progressive learning and critical understanding.
1. Knowledge and understandings
1.1 Knowledge of the Italian constitutional order and relations whit the european one.
1.2 Knowledge of the single legal institutions and institutional body object of the program of the course.
1.3 Knowledge of local authorities.

2. Ability to apply knowledge and understandings
2.1 Ability to recognize and handle sources of government instruments.
2.2 Ability to find the legal provisions applicable to a certain situation.

3. Judgment
3.1 Being able to interpret legal provisions.
3.2 Being able to identify, distinguish, relate different principles and legal provisions belonging to different sources of the multilevel system.

There isn't any specific requirement for this exam.

MULTIPLE-CHOICE TEST WITH SCORES ASSESSED BY CORRECT ANSWERS. IF A PASS IS AVAILABLE, THERE IS AN OPTIONAL ORAL EXAM.
The exam consists of a written test and an optional oral exam.
The written test consists of 15 multiple-choice questions; each correct answer is awarded 2 points. Passing the written test is a prerequisite for admission to the oral exam, which is optional. The written test is passed if at least 9 out of 15 correct answers are obtained and at least 6 essential questions are answered correctly. The written test serves to certify basic knowledge and mastery of legal principles.
The textbook offers approximately 300 multiple-choice questions for students to practice. Additional sample tests will be made available in the course materials, and a sample test will be administered in class.
The oral exam, if applicable, in addition to assessing knowledge and understanding of the fundamental principles of public law, offers the opportunity to evaluate the student's ability to present what they have learned using appropriate and adequate technical-legal language.

The instructor is responsible for ensuring the authenticity and originality of all examinations and coursework. In cases of suspected academic misconduct, an additional on-site assessment may be required during the exams, which may differ from the standard format.

Grades are assigned from 18/30 to 30/30 in ascending order based on the evaluation of the level of knowledge of the legal institutions covered by the course, the mastery of the same, the ability to analyze and critically understand the legal institutions.
Specifically, regarding the grading system (how grades will be assigned):
Scores in the 18-22 range will be awarded in the presence of:
- sufficient knowledge and applied understanding of the syllabus;
- limited ability to gather and/or interpret data, formulating independent judgments;
- sufficient communication skills, especially in relation to the use of specific language pertaining to Public Law.

Scores in the 23-26 range will be awarded in the presence of:
- fair knowledge and applied understanding of the syllabus;
- fair ability to gather and/or interpret data, formulating independent judgments;
- fair communication skills, especially in relation to the use of specific language pertaining to Public Law.

Scores in the 27-30 range will be awarded in the presence of:
- good or excellent knowledge and applied understanding of the syllabus;
- good or excellent ability to collect and/or interpret texts, formulating independent judgments;
- fully appropriate communication skills, especially with regard to the use of specific language pertaining to Public Law.

Honors will be awarded for excellent knowledge and skills, applied understanding of the syllabus, judgment, and communication skills.
