DIDACTICS OF ITALIAN LITERATURE

Teaching is included among the supplementary disciplines of the Master's Degree in Philology and Italian Literature, Modern-Contemporary Curriculum.
The course aims to provide students with the conceptual and methodological tools for the profession of Italian literature teacher in secondary school. It therefore aims to identify food for thought on teaching models and their applicability in the classroom and to consolidate the ability to didactically enhance a literary text, building paths by theme or genre.

At the end of teaching, the student will be able to identify and select the methods, techniques and teaching materials most appropriate for achieving the learning results required by law in the various levels and levels of schools for the teaching of Italian literature. It will be able to explain the process of understanding and interpreting literary texts and its effects on learning and to independently design Learning Units, identifying their times and objectives.

To follow the lessons properly the student must possess a good command of the Italian language, know the historical development of Italian literature and by direct reading the classics of our tradition.

1) The teaching of Italian literature in the training system. Crisis of humanistic studies in the structure of knowledge and new possible legitimations.
2) Theoretical foundations on the history of Italian literature teaching methods in schools.
3) The regulation and teaching of Italian literature.
4) Teaching by skills. The literary competence.
5) The centrality of the literary text and the paths.
6) Design Literary Education Learning Units. The annual work plan. Concrete examples.
7) Innovative methodologies and digital tools.

The teaching materials used in class (examples of the UdA and annual plans, regulatory texts) will be made available in the University's "Moodle" e-learning platform.

The final verification of learning takes place through the written design of a Learning Unit or a Simulated Lesson agreed with the teacher;
an oral interview of approximately 20 minutes, which will start from the proposals contained in the written project and then address the topics covered in class.

The instructor is responsible for ensuring the authenticity and originality of all examinations and coursework. In cases of suspected academic misconduct, an additional on-site assessment may be required during the exams, which may differ from the standard format.

30 and praise (excellent judgment): the student demonstrates a thorough and complete knowledge of the content of the lessons; demonstrates consolidated skills in applying knowledge; uses correct terminology and presents clearly and already didactically set up.
29-30 (excellent): The student demonstrates in-depth knowledge of the subject; uses appropriate language and presents clearly with argument.
27-28 (good): The student demonstrates a broad knowledge of the content of the lessons; demonstrates a satisfactory understanding of the subject; uses precise, if sometimes schematic, language.
23-26 (discreet): The student demonstrates acceptable knowledge of the program and reasonable ability to apply the fundamental concepts of the discipline; he or she presents in an overall correct manner, but not without inaccuracies.
18-22 (sufficient): the student demonstrates limited knowledge of the content of the lessons; manifests uncertainties in applying the fundamental concepts; exposes unclearly with generalizations and inconsistencies.
Insufficient: The student demonstrates a poor and fragmentary knowledge of the subject; she or she does not reach an acceptable level in the articulation of the discourse.

The course is divided into lectures, which will always try to engage students and stimulate discus-sion.

This subject deals with topics related to the macro-area "Human capital, health, education" and contributes to the achievement of one or more goals of U. N. Agenda for Sustainable Development
