The overal aim of the Spanish language course ("esercitazioni") is to introduce the students to semantics and lexical-semantic relations and to bring them to a level of communicative competence at the C1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). Learning outcomes are assessed through a written and oral exam at the end of the course.

This course is intended for students whose surname begins with the letters H–Q.

The assessment of learning involves a final written examination and an ongoing assessment of C1 level linguistic and communicative competencies developed during language practice sessions.

The final written examination, lasting 90 minutes, consists of three open-ended questions on the topics covered during the module and explored in the reference texts. Students will need to demonstrate knowledge of the topics and the ability to present them formally and correctly in Spanish.

The assessment of linguistic and communicative competencies is a prerequisite for admission to the final examination with the lecturer. It takes place throughout the academic year and is divided into two sessions, scheduled for December and May, before the final examination with the lecturer, according to a calendar communicated at the beginning of the first semester. The assessment covers five dimensions: grammatical competence, listening comprehension, reading comprehension, written expression, and oral expression.

The communicative profile resulting from the assessment contributes to the average with the module examination mark and impacts the final mark by an appropriate percentage. All detailed information will be available from September on the Moodle page of the lecturer and the linguistic collaborators and experts.

Students holding a DELE certification of the required level (C1) or higher, obtained a maximum of two years prior to the date of the final examination, are exempt from the assessment, provided they submit a double-sided copy of the certificate to the referring lecturer on the same day as the written examination. No other certifications are considered valid. The mark obtained in the DELE certification (expressed as a percentage) will be automatically converted to a mark out of thirty.

To take the examination, students must bear in mind the provisions of Article 15 of the Student Careers Regulations (https://www.unive.it/pag/8241 ).
