The Archaeobotany Laboratory (2 CFU) – a teaching activity within the Specialised Archaeology Laboratory – is part of the training and orientation internships for the archaeological curriculum of the Master's Degree Programme in Ancient Studies: Literature, History and Archaeology.

The course aims to provide students with the fundamental concepts and methodologies used in the study of plant remains (charcoal, seeds, fruits, etc.) recovered from archaeological excavations. These approaches are intended to improve our understanding of the relationship between humans and the environment, environmental changes and agricultural practices in antiquity, as well as the spread of plant species in relation to human activities and socio-economic dynamics.
This programme is provisional and there could still be changes in its contents.
