This course falls within the characterizing teachings of the "Korea" curriculum of the course "Languages, Cultures and Societies of Asia and Mediterranean Africa".
Its formative objectives fall within the area of language skills learning.

* The language of instruction for this course is Korean, Italian.
1) Language knowledge and language comprehension:
Complete the knowledge of grammatical structures of Korean at the intermediate level.
Knowledge and understanding of the usage of grammatical structures of Korean at the intermediate level (CEFR Level B1+/B2)

2) Ability to apply language knowledge and comprehension:
Ability to identify grammar categories and their properties.
Demonstrate a general comprehension of Korean grammatical structures for intermediate level.
Ability to describe constructs and grammatical phenomena of Korean, acquired during the course.
Ability to make a correct use of terminology and basic tools of syntactic analysis acquired.
Having completed passed Korean Language 1.1 and 1.2

The exam consists of a written test and an oral exam.

1) Written Test
90 minutes covering grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing (based on Korean Language Practice 2).
Includes multiple-choice questions and open-ended questions on the course content.
The total score is out of 30 points (calculated as the average of the grammar score out of 30 and the language practice score out of 30).

2) Oral Exam
Students who pass the written test are eligible to take the oral exam.
The oral exam consists of an interview with the professors on the course content.

The lecturer has a duty to ensure that the rules regarding the authenticity and originality of exam tests and papers are respected. Therefore, if there is suspicion of irregular conduct, an additional assessment may be conducted, which could differ from the original exam description.

The final grade is the everage of the Mod.1 and Mod. 2 grades. Only students who pass Mod.1 will have their Mod.2 grades counted. Mod.1 scores remain valid until the end of the academic year in which the exam was taken.

To pass Mod.2, students must score at least 18 points in each of the following sections: grammar, practice, and speaking. Under 18 in any one of these parts requires a retake of Mod. 2. In such cases, the Mod.1 score will still be valid until the end of the academic year in which the exam was taken.

With regard to grading, scores will be assigned according to the following scheme:
A. scores in the 18-22 range will be assigned in the presence of: sufficient knowledge and applied comprehension skills in relation to the program;
B. Scores in the range 23-26 will be awarded in the presence of: fair knowledge and applied understanding of the program;
C. Scores in the range 27-30 will be awarded in the presence of good or excellent knowledge and applied understanding of the program;
D. Honors will be awarded in the presence of excellent knowledge and applied understanding of the program.

Presentations and additional learning materials will be made available on the Moodle platform.
In order to pass the exam, students must obtain scores of 18 and above in all test. The final result will be the average of the scores obtained in Korean Language 2.1 and 2.2.

This subject deals with topics related to the macro-area "Human capital, health, education" and contributes to the achievement of one or more goals of U. N. Agenda for Sustainable Development
