Alessandra Trevisan (Venice, 1987) earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Literature in 2010 and her Master’s Degree in Italian Philology and Literature in 2013 at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, defending a thesis on Goliarda Sapienza. In 2020, she received her PhD in Italian Studies from the same university with a dissertation titled «Per una ricerca sugli inediti di Goliarda Sapienza: nel “baule mentale” della “personaggia”». Since July 2020, she has been a Subject Expert in Italian Studies at the Department of Humanities, Ca’ Foscari University. In 2023, she conducted research at the University of Cagliari (Principal Investigator: Mauro Pala), focusing on biographical and autobiographical forms in contemporary Italian literature.

Her research focuses on the investigation of 20th-century literary culture through the tools of modern philology, textual criticism, and archival research on unpublished works and correspondence. A central part of her work involves the study of Italian women writers between the 20th and 21st centuries, with a specific focus on figures such as Goliarda Sapienza, Milena Milani, and Anna Maria Ortese, followed by Adele Cambria, Clara Sereni, Livia de Stefani, Lea Quaretti, and other minor voices. These authors are also approached through the perspective of Gender Studies and identity analysis. Her research scope extends to the dynamics of the publishing market and the intersections between literature, Digital Humanities, and new media, with a particular interest in audio narratives and literary podcasts. Additionally, part of her research is dedicated to the work of Gabriele d’Annunzio, in particular to his poetry and political speeches.

She serves as Managing Editor of the journal «Archivio d’Annunzio» (ANVUR Class A) and is a member of the editorial board of the «Enciclopedia digitale dannunziana». She serves on the scientific committee of «Kepos – Semestrale di letteratura italiana» (Area 10 ANVUR). She is affiliated with the VeDPH (Venice Centre for Digital and Public Humanities) and Ce.Do.Di. (Centre for Documentation and Research on School and Didactics).
