LAUREA MAGISTRALE. Seguo un massimo di 3 tesi per anno accademico. La precedenza è data a studenti che hanno frequentato i miei corsi, hanno partecipato alle attività per frequantanti, hanno avuto una valutazione alta (30 o 30L), presentano progetti di tesi incentrati su fenomeni d'età moderna e su fonti primarie d'età moderna in linea con i miei interessi di ricerca (v. il mio profilo e le mie pubblicazioni). Chi intende svolgere la tesi con me, inoltre, deve necessariamente e preliminarmente frequentare uno dei seminari di metodologia della ricerca storica che verranno organizzati durante l'anno.

LAUREA TRIENNALE. Seguo un massimo di 9 tesi per anno accademico. La precedenza è data a studenti che hanno frequentato i miei corsi, hanno partecipato alle attività per frequantati e hanno avuto una valutazione alta (30 o 30L).

La tesi triennale va chiesta con ANTICIPO di almeno sei mesi prima della discussione. La tesi magistrale va chiesta con ANTICIPO di almeno nove mesi prima della discussione 

In entrambi i casi è necessario aver già sostenuto almeno un esame con me.

Si può contattarmi via mail per chiedere indicazioni circa la disponibilità, ma è poi NECESSARIO presentarsi al ricevimento, per concordare l’argomento

La tesi deve essere di CARATTERE STORICO e deve necessariamente incentrarsi sull'età moderna (fine XV- prima metà del XIX secolo). In particolare la tesi magistrale deve affrontare in modo originale lo studio di fonti primarie dell'età moderna, manoscritte o a stampa, reperibili presso archivi e biblioteche.

I miei campi di ricerca possono essere consultati nella pagina docente, nelle sezioni pubblicazioni e ricerca. In linea di massima sono disponibile ad accogliere tesi che trattando dell’intreccio tra aspetti culturali, economici e politici in area atlantica ed euro-mediterranea in età moderna

I laureandi devono mantenersi in costante contatto, venendo di persona o via email. I primi steps, dopo aver deciso il tema, sono preparare un indice provvisorio, un abstract (che alla fine potrà essere ampliato e diventare la introduzione) e una bibliografia preliminare

Perché la domanda di laurea venga accolta, è NECESSARIO che almeno un capitolo venga consegnato 15 giorni prima della chiusura della procedura per la domanda di laurea

Perché la tesi possa approdare alla discussione, è NECESSARIO che il testo completo venga consegnato 15 giorni prima della chiusura della procedura di upload

MASTER'S DEGREE. I supervise a maximum of 3 theses per academic year. Precedence will be given to students who have attended my classes, have submitted papers/attending materials, have attained high evaluations (30 or 30L), and present a thesis project focused on the historical analysis of early modern age phenomena and on early modern primary sources, in line with my research (see my profile and my publications). Furthermore, anyone wishing to work on their thesis with me must first attend one of the historical research methodology seminars organized throughout the year.

BACHELOR'S DEGREE. I supervise a maximum of 9 theses per academic year. Precedence will be given to students who have attended my classes, have submitted papers/attending materials, and have attained high evaluations (30 or 30L).

The bachelor's degree (PISE) thesis must be requested in advance of at least six months before the discussion. The master's degree (RIC) thesis must be requested in advance of at least nine months before the discussion

In both cases it is necessary to have attended at least one of my courses and to have passed the exam.

You can contact me by email to ask for information about availability, but it is then NECESSARY to present yourself during my office hours to decide the topic

The thesis must be of a HISTORICAL CHARACTER and it must focus on the early modern age (late 15th century - first half of the 19th century). The master thesis especially must undertake an original anlysis of early modern manuscrpit or printed primary sources, available in archives or libraries.

My research fields can be consulted on my webpage, in the publications and research sections. In general, I am available to supervise theses which deals with the intertwining of cultural, economic and political aspects in the Atlantic and Euro-Mediterranean area during the the early modern age

Graduating students must keep in constant contact, coming in person or via email. The first steps, after having decided the topic, are to prepare a provisional table of contents, an abstract (which can eventually be expanded and become the introduction) and a preliminary bibliography

In order for the graduation application to be accepted, it is NECESSARY that at least one chapter be delivered 15 days before the procedure for the graduation application is closed

In order for the thesis to arrive at the discussion, it is NECESSARY for the complete text to be delivered 15 days before the closing of the upload procedure

Dal giorno 19 dicembre 2025 al giorno 7 gennaio 2026 tutte le firme e le risposte relative a tirocini e attività sostitutive di tirocinio (attivazione e riconoscimento) sono sospese. In particolare, chi volesse avviare un tirocinio in quel periodo, è pregato di organizzarsi per tempo e di recarsi ad uno dei ricevimenti di dicembre. Anche chi volesse ottenere il riconoscimento dei CFU, dovrà contattarmi o prima del 19 dicembre, sempre durante il ricevimento, o dopo il 7 gennaio. Si prega di evitare di invii multipli di mail nel periodo, perché comunque non riceveranno risposta e bisognerà in ogni caso ricontattarmi dopo il 7 gennaio.

From December 19, 2025, to January 7, 2026, all signatures and responses relating to internships and substitutive activities (activation and recognition) are suspended. Specifically, anyone wishing to start an internship during that period is asked to plan ahead and attend one of the December office hours. Anyone wishing to obtain credit recognition must contact me either before December 19, during the office hour, or after January 7. Please avoid sending multiple emails during this period, as they will not receive a response, and you will need to contact me again after January 7.
