He achieved the national scientific qualification (Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale) to function as associate professor in the Italian higher education system in the Settore Concorsuale “14/D1 - Sociologia dei processi economici, del lavoro, dell’ambiente e del territorio”. Validity of the national scientific qualification from 3 October 2022 to 3 October 2033.

 

He is a subject expert (cultore della materia) at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, Department of Linguistics and Comparative Cultural Studies.

 

He was a research grant holder (assegnista di ricerca) at the Department of Linguistics and Comparative Cultural Studies of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, title of the project: “Le implicazioni economiche, sociali e culturali dell’innovazione monetaria contemporanea: un’analisi sociologica”, Settore Scientifico-Disciplinare “SPS/09 - Sociologia dei processi economici e del lavoro”. 

 

He was a fixed-term researcher - ricercatore a tempo determinato, art. 24, comma 3, lettera a) L. 240/10 - at the Department of Linguistics and Comparative Cultural Studies of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice (Settore Scientifico-Disciplinare “SPS/09 - Sociologia dei processi economici e del lavoro”) and a fellow of the Center for the Humanities and Social Change of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice (research activities related to the project “The nature of money and its social perception in times of crisis”).

 

He graduated in Economics (Economia Politica) from Bocconi University, Milan in 1997 and he earned his Ph.D. in Regional Planning and Public Policy (Pianificazione Territoriale e Politiche Pubbliche del Territorio) at the Università IUAV di Venezia in 2002. Some of his main other past activities: he carried out research activities at the Università IUAV di Venezia; he carried out research activities at Bocconi University, Milan; he was a fixed-term researcher of CNRS at the Centre Maurice Halbwachs (CNRS-EHESS-ENS), Paris; he carried out teaching activities (as a docente a contratto) at Bocconi University, Milan and at the University of Calabria; he taught a course, as a visiting faculty member, at the International University College of Turin. He was a fellow at the Nantes Institute for Advanced Study.
