Curriculum vitae

As an ecologist with a multidisciplinary background, I analyze the interactions among ecosystem structure, ecological processes, and ecosystem functions and services, with particular attention to the psychophysiological and neurocognitive effects of human experiences in natural environments. In my research I integrate classical ecological methodologies and complex system science with innovative approaches, combining remote sensing, GIS, and artificial intelligence with ecopsychological assessments and physiological data analysis. My interests lie in ecosystem ecology, ecopsychology, and ecomedicine, including topics related to Biophilia, Nature Based interventions and Green Prescriptions within the One Health/Planetary Health framework. I also actively practice and advocate for teaching methodologies based on Universal Design for Learning, with a strong emphasis on outdoor and experiential education settings.
