2008: Royal Society of Canada, ‘Jason A. Hannah’ medal for Medical charlatanism in early modern Italy

2012: ‘Salvatore De Renzi International Prize’ for the history of medicine, by the University of Salerno medical school and the Ordine dei Medici of Salerno, Italy.
