After studying at the University of Rome “Sapienza” and a degree specialized in history of the Greek language (professors G.Ricciardelli Apicella and L.E. Rossi), I got a PhD in Greek and Latin philology at the Classics Department of the University of Genoa (professor G. Montanari).

I have been working for decades as a full-stack professional software developer and IT consultant for my one-person business company, and as a contract professor for digital humanities at the University of Rome “Sapienza” since 2007.

My scholarly interests are centered around Digital Humanities, and I have been working mainly in systems for linguistics, metrics, lexicography, epigraphy, documental archives, etc., and full-stack solutions for digital publishers in both commercial and academic fields (Zanichelli, Loescher, Digento, Microsoft, universities and organizations like the Accademia della Crusca, etc.).

Most of my open-source code developed for Academic research can be found at the VeDPH GitHub (username Myrmex).
