Saretta Marotta (1984) is Marie Sklodowska-Curie Cofund Fellow at Ca' Foscari, University of Venice, from 2022. She graduated in Contemporary history at Sapienza, University of Rome (2008), then defended her PhD in Contemporary History at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (2012), with a secondment period at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität of Munich (LMU). An affiliated researcher at Fondazione per le scienze religiose in Bologna (FSCIRE) since 2008, she was post-doctoral researcher there from 2012 to 2017. In 2014, she was awarded a 10-month Fellowship at LMU München funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). From 2018 to 2022 she was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies at the University of Leuven, Belgium (KU Leuven). In 2022, she achieved the Italian Scientific Qualification as associate professor for the disciplinary field of 11/A4 - Science of books and documents, history of religions.
