I was born on 24th October 1997 in Udine, Italy, where I attended the Liceo Classico “Jacopo Stellini”, cum laude.

In 2016 I was admitted to the Undergraduate course in Ancient History and Classical Philology at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa. At the same time, I began studying Humanities (BA), and then Classical Philology and Ancient History (MA), at the Università di Pisa.

At the Scuola Normale Superiore, I produced four research papers (one paper per year; the topics were agreed upon with a supervisor and the papers were discussed before a commission), in addition to the other internal obligations. These papers (supervisor: Prof. Luigi Battezzato) focused on Pindar’s Olympian 13, Bacchylides’ Epinician 13, the Persians of Timotheus of Miletus and the characters of Peleus, Hippolyta, and Thetis in Pindar. I obtained my diploma di licenza with a paper on “L’Istmica IV di Pindaro: il corpo dell’atleta e la retorica dell’elogio” (supervisor: Prof. Luigi Battezzato; the paper was discussed before a commission), cum laude.

In 2019 I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Humanities at the Università di Pisa with a thesis on “Pindareion epos: un poeta senza nome in Aristoph. Av. 903-957” (supervisor: Prof. Enrico Medda), cum laude.

In 2022 I obtained my master’s degree in Classical Philology and Ancient History at the Università di Pisa with a thesis on “L’oracolo e il poeta. I frammenti pindarici sul profeta Tenero” [English abstract available at https://etd.adm.unipi.it/theses/available/etd-03092022-092928/] (supervisors: Prof. Enrico Medda, Prof. Andrea Taddei), cum laude.

In 2022 I was admitted to the PhD programme in Ancient Heritage Studies at the “Ca’ Foscari” University of Venice (in partnership with the Università degli Studi di Trieste and the Università degli Studi di Udine).

My research interests focus on Greek language and literature, particularly lyric poetry (Pindar, Bacchylides, Timotheus), and in general on how Greek texts, both complete and fragmentary, have been transmitted, contextualized, and interpreted. I am also interested in Greek lexicography and scholiastic tradition.
