Davide Cenzato was born in Soave, Italy. He received a Bachelor's degree in Computer science at the University of Trento in 2017 and a Master's degree In Medical bioinformatics (top grade with distinction) in 2019 at the University of Verona. Subsequently, in 2023, Davide completed his Ph.D. course in Computer Science at the University of Verona. He has now joined Ca' Foscari University of Venice in 2023 as a postdoc researcher in the REGINDEX group led by Prof. Nicola Prezza.

During his Ph.D. Davide focused his research on algorithms and data structures on strings for compressing and indexing texts, concluding with a thesis centered on studying the Burrows-Wheeler Transform for processing large biological string collections. He is now working on algorithms and data structures on labeled graphs, particularly for sorting and indexing Wheeler graphs and, more generally, p-sortable graphs. Davide co-authored 10 research articles in international conferences within his research path and participated as a reviewer or speaker in several conferences and seminars.
