Curriculum vitae

Viktoryia Vaitovich is an Assistant Professor (RTDa) in Sociology at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. Previously, she was a Policy Officer at the European Council on Refugees and Exiles (ECRE) in Brussels. In 2023, she obtained a joint PhD in Migration Studies at Université Paul-Valéry-Montpellier 3 (France) and the University of Porto (Portugal), where she was also a Horizon 2020 Marie Curie doctoral fellow. Viktoryia holds MA degrees in European Interdisciplinary Studies from the College of Europe (Natolin Campus, Poland) and in Political Science from Linköping University (Sweden), as well as an undergraduate degree in Public International Law.

Her research lies at the intersection of sociology, policy analysis and law. In particular, she is interested in migration and asylum law and policies at the EU and national levels, as well as their relationship with labour.
