Bernardo Paci is Postdoctoral Researcher within the ERC Project ERC Consolidator "The Culture of Algorithmic Models: Advancing the Historical Epistemology of Artificial Intelligence" (Website: AIMODELS) at the Ca' Foscari University of Venice. His research focuses on critical genealogies of AI, especially from the point of view of neuronormativity in the knowledge society. He has been Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Naples Federico II, where he conducted research on the intellectual history and political philosophy of colonial chartered companies within the PRIN Project 2020 "Myths of Legitimation and Government of Difference in the European Imperial Regimes during the Modern and Contemporary Age" (PI: Teodoro Tagliaferri)". He is also a member of the Group of Critical Theory of Society at the University of Milan-Bicocca, of the Marxism and Disability Network, and of the Editorial Board of the journal Quaderni materialisti and of the book series Quaderni di Teoria Critica della Società (Mimesis) and Il Filorosso (PGreco).

He is author of the monographs Razzismo, colonialismo e mitologie bianche. La storia rubata di Grande Zimbabwe (2022), A Materialist Conception of Knowledge: The Colonial Roots of Cognitive Capitalism (2025) and Sovereign Corporations: Intellectual History and Political Philosophy of the British South Africa Company (2026, in press).

He was awarded the International Domenico Losurdo Prize 2020 for the essay La concezione neoliberale della storia: la saldatura tra neoliberalismo e revisionismo storico in Friedrich von Hayek and the Luigi Maria Turati Prize 2023 for his scientific contributions and publications during the PhD.
