SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITIES
Research expeditions:
2000/2001. Field season to Antarctica. Scientist
2003/2004. Field season to Antarctica. Chief Scientist
Research areas:
1) Aroma components of wines. Trend analysis has been proved successful in detecting concentration changes in certain aroma components during storage often commercial white wines in real environmental conditions (Ref. 1).
2) Elements analysis. Development and application of novel analytical methodologies based on inductively coupled plasma sector field mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) and HPLC/ICP-Quadrupole-MS for the determination and speciation analysis of trace elements (heavy metals, selenoprotein) in environmental (aerosol, water, snow) and biological matrices (human serum). (Ref. 2, 3, 5, 6, 9, 13, 16, 21, 27, 34, 46, 47, 52, 54, 60, 62, 63, 65, 66, 68, 72, 73, 75, 76, 86, 90, 91, 93, 105, 107, 108, 111, 117).
