Enrolling in a Bachelor
When applying for a degree programme, former Ca' Foscari Foundation Year students are equivalent to EU citizens / Italian residents.
Eligibility for enrolment at other Italian Universities is not guaranteed. Students who are planning on enrolling at other Universities or Tertiary Institutions should contact the appropriate office at the Institution in question.
To enroll in one of Ca' Foscari’s Bachelor’s Degree programmes after completing the Foundation Year, students must meet the specific admission requirements for their programme of choice. These requirements typically include criteria such as academic qualifications, language proficiency, and other program-specific prerequisites.
For more detailed information on how to apply and the requirements for each Bachelor's programme, you can have a look at the admission requirements overview which is meant for students with an international qualification, and then look at each programme’s specific requirements under the “Enroll” section of each Bachelor’s webpage.
Make sure to check the exact criteria for your chosen programme and follow the application process to complete your admission.
As a Foundation Year student, your pathway to studying at Ca' Foscari in Italian or English comes with specific language requirements:
Undergraduate Studies in Italian
- Minimum language level: B2 in Italian. If you complete the Ca' Foscari Foundation Year, you do not need an official B2 certification at the time of application, as long as you pass an official B2 Italian language certification during your first year of undergraduate studies.
Undergraduate Studies in English
- There is no B2 Italian requirement for programs taught in English. B2 English language proficiency is required (but students who complete an English-taught Study Track at the Foundation Year will be exempt from providing certification because they can show they have studied one full year in English).
Admission and enrolment with an international qualification
The "Dichiarazione di valore" (Declaration of Value)
When applying for a Bachelor’s program at Ca' Foscari after completing the Foundation Year, you will still need to provide a Dichiarazione di valore (Declaration of Value), or, for students coming from certain countries, a Cimea Statement of Comparability.
This document verifies the value of your previous qualifications and is necessary for completing the application process. You can obtain a Dichiarazione di valore from the Embassy or Consulate of Italy in your home country. While you are not required to provide this document for admission to the Foundation Year, it is strongly advised that you begin the process before you leave your home country.
