Policies

Language of instruction

The language of instruction for all Summer Schools is English. At least a B1 level of English language is expected of all applicants.

Credits and final certificate

At the conclusion of the summer courses students will receive a certificate of attendance with final grade (where given). The credits assigned to each programme are a calculation of ECTS in terms of workload. You can find the ECTS number under each course description in the “Courses” section. Ca’ Foscari students can request credit recognition through the Summer School office. International students may request a transcript to submit for credit recognition at their home university. Please note that credit transfer policies vary by institution. If you are an international student planning to include a summer course in your study plan, we recommend checking with your home university in advance to confirm whether recognition is possible.

Withdrawal and reimbursement

Following enrolment confirmation, students can withdraw from the programme with partial reimbursement up until May 31st. The School will deduct 30% from the enrolment fee for administration purposes. Following May 31st, students who withdraw are not eligible for reimbursement. Courses could be cancelled due to particularly low enrollment; in this case students can request a full refund, or transfer their enrolment to another course in the same period.
