Additional Learning Requirements (OFA)

Italian Language OFA

The bachelor's degree programme in Language, Culture and Society of Asia and Mediterranean Africa (LICSAAM) requires an adequate knowledge of Italian.

Your level of Italian language knowledge will be assessed through a test after your enrolment. It is a multiple-choice TEST that checks on your reading comprehension knowledge of vocabulary and grammar and the ability to use Italian  in specific contexts. Two test  sessions are scheduled during the first semester:

  • Saturday 28th November 2026, 10.30-12.00 - Room 4A and 5A San Giobbe
  • Saturday 12th December 2026, 10.30-12.00 - Room 4A and 5A San Giobbe

The test is deemed to be passed only if at least 65% of the answers are correctYou can sit the test only once, registering through your Reserved Area.
If you decide not to take the test after registering for the exam session, you will be able to cancel your reservation before the registration deadline.

To sit the test students are required to bring their own fully charged laptop.

In the event of a failed test, an Additional Learning Requirement (OFA) in Italian language will be assigned. This must be fulfilled by attending the online remedial course LT4001 OFA – Italian Language during the second semester and passing the corresponding proficiency test. While course attendance is not mandatory, it is highly recommended.

For further information on the Italian language test, please contact the coordinator: Prof. Andrea Facchin - ofaitalianodsaam@unive.it.

In order to fulfil your OFA you must register for and sit the LT4001 OFA Italian language exam. Please note that in order to register for any exam, you need to first finalise your study plan (piano di studi). If you decide not to take the exam after registering for the session, you will be able to cancel your reservation before the registration deadline.
Four exam sessions are scheduled:

  • two exam dates in the June-July 2027 exam session;
  • one exam date in September 2027;
  • one exam date in January-February 2028.

Exams are written. Exam dates will be published on the degree programme’s website. Follow: Study > Exams.
