Curriculum vitae
She holds a PhD in Foundations and Methods of Educational Processes and teaches Theory of Education and Complexity, Ecology of Mind and Education, Social and Intercultural Pedagogy, and Education for Sustainability and Inclusion.
She currently serves as Ca' Foscari University of Venice's representative in the Education Working Group of RUS (Italian University Network for Sustainable Development) and is a member of the University Sustainability Board. She also designed and coordinates Lezione 0 sulla sostenibilità ("Lesson Zero on Sustainability", 6 ECTS credits), the first interdepartmental course on sustainability at Ca' Foscari University of Venice.
She conceived and is the scientific director of SUSTAINABILITY TALKS. IDEAS ON SUSTAINABILITY FOR A NEW HUMANISM, a project within the initiatives promoted by the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Heritage at Ca' Foscari to foster a culture of sustainability.
In addition, she coordinates the SIPeGeS (Italian Society of General and Social Pedagogy) Proposal, Research and Study Group (GPRS) on the Ecosystemic Foundations of Education.
Her research interests focus on complexity as a constitutive dimension of pedagogy, flexibility as a pedagogical category, and ecopedagogy as a frontier of critical pedagogy.
Her most recent publications include the essay L'irruzione dell'altro come responsabilità educativa nella pedagogia implicita di Simone Weil ("The Irruption of the Other as Educational Responsibility in Simone Weil's Implicit Pedagogy", 2025), winner of the Riccardo Massa Award, and the edited volume Lo sguardo obliquo. Lemmario critico su crisi e sostenibilità ("The Oblique Gaze: A Critical Lexicon of Crisis and Sustainability", 2026).
