Curriculum vitae

Jessica Rossi graduated from Ca' Foscari University of Venice in 2014 with a Bachelor's degree in Chinese Culture and Arts, and completed her Master's degree at the same university in 2018, within the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Heritage, specializing in Economics and Management of Arts and Cultural Activities (EGArt).

In 2026, she obtained her PhD at the Department of Asia, Africa and Mediterranean Studies at the University of Naples "L'Orientale". Her doctoral research focused on Chinese and Korean shared intangible cultural heritage practices, adopting a multidisciplinary approach encompassing international relations, cultural diplomacy, anthropology, and heritage studies.

Her research interests include, but are not limited:

- the management and institutionalisation of tangible and intangible cultural heritage in China, Korea and Japan;

- cultural diplomacy and diplomatic relations in East and Southeast Asia;

- the documentation and digitisation of Asia's tangible and intangible cultural heritage, with particular emphasis on accessibility for heritage communities and knowledge practitioners;

- design and craftsmanship in South Korea, with a focus on their historical, artistic, and cultural dimensions.
