Main Research Interests
He is the author/co-author of more than 70 articles published in international peer-reviewed scientific journals (Scopus/ISI), of more than 70 contributions (as posters and/or orals and invited talks) at International and National Scientific Conferences. The main research activities are in the field of Physical Chemistry. Current interests are mainly focused on molecular spectroscopy (rotational, vibrational and ro-vibrational analysis using both High Resolution Tuneable Diode Laser and Fourier Transform spectrometer) and determination of accurate spectroscopic constants, quantum mechanical modelling of molecular properties, investigation on adsorption mechanisms also on reactive surfaces, studies on non-covalent interactions and molecular complexes, micro-solvation steps, hybrid QM/MM simulations of biological systems, modeling of innovative materials and of their properties, ab initio thermochemistry and kinetics. On all the topic listed above, he has active collaborations with many international scientific groups.
